Bulletin Name:	User Procedure Manual Update - Employee Benefits, Fixed Costs and Claims/Judgments

Purpose

To notify agencies of updated descriptions and object codes for:

Employee Fringe Benefits
General State Charges – Fixed Costs
Claims and Judgments

These needed changes primarily reflect updated descriptions that will enable State agencies to choose the proper object of expense code to use in payment transactions.

User Procedure Manual Updated

Subdivision 11, Section 3.1180 of the Accounting Codes Manual contains updated object codes and descriptions for Employee Fringe Benefits and General State Charge expenses.

Discontinued Objects

As a result of the expansion of the descriptions in the Manual, it has been determined, in consultation with State agencies, that the following objects of expense are no longer needed and are discontinued effective April 1, 2011.

58220	Payments to Beneficiaries
58630	Blind Veterans Relief
58680	DC37 Income Protection Plan
58900-58911	Other Staff Benefits (Types 0-11)
