| Subject | Increment Codes for Management/Confidential Employees |
| Purpose | To explain use of increment codes for certain M/C employees |
| Affected Employees | Graded M/C employees with a current salary below job rate |
| Automatic Updating |
OSC has updated the increment code to
"0001" for all "active" M/C employees in NU 06, NU 46,
NU 66 and grades 603 - 667 who have a current salary that is less than the
job rate. This update occurred for active employees effective September 23,
1999 for the Institution cycle and September 30, 1999 for the Administrative
cycle.
Agencies should use increment codes for all future transactions for M/C employees in graded positions. Refer to Salary Manual, Part 1, page 31 for an explanation of increment codes. Information and instructions about increment codes will be issued at a later date to cover M/C employees who are at or above the job rate. Increment codes will not be used by OSC to automatically update records of M/C employees in equated or non-equated NS positions. |
| OSC Actions | Effective April 1, 2000, OSC will automatically apply performance advances to increment-eligible M/C employees. |
