Actions and Impact
|
OSC will restrict agency access to the deduction,
retirement and tax panels between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. each week
during the final Calculation and Confirm process. Agencies will continue to
have view access to the panels, but they will not be able to update
deduction, retirement or tax panels during this time period. Users will be
notified to log off at 4:00 p.m. or when the process is initiated in order
for these restrictions to take effect. They can immediately log on to the
system and continue entering other transactions and data.
The restricted access will usually occur each Wednesday. Agencies will be advised through logon and break-in broadcast messages if there is a change to this schedule due to early submission and payroll closing dates. The following panels will be restricted during the final Calculation and

| Rationale | It is necessary to restrict agency "Update" access to maintain PaySR production schedules. Changes to the deduction, retirement and tax panels are effective immediately in the PaySR system. Any changes made prior to the Calculation and Confirm process are applied to the paychecks which are produced for the following week. If these changes are made to a paycheck after the final "Pay Calc" process is completed and before the "Pay Confirm" process, both processes need to be restarted. This delays the production of paychecks and direct deposit advices. |
