| Subject | New Bargaining Units Eligible to Participate in the Voluntary Reduction in Work Schedule Program (VRWS) |
| Purpose | To provide agencies with reporting instructions |
| Affected Employees | Employees represented by CSEA in Bargaining Units 02, 03, 04, 47 and 67. |
| Effective Date | The VRWS program for CSEA employees is effective the first full pay period in October, 2000. For Institution agencies, the effective date is the beginning of pay period #14, October 5, 2000. For Administration agencies, the effective date is the beginning of pay period #15, October 12, 2000. |

Provisions and Eligibility Criteria

The VRWS Program, previously available to employees in
bargaining units 05, 06, 18, 46, and 66, has been extended to include
bargaining units 02, 03, 04, 47 and 67. The minimum allowable work schedule
reduction is 5% and the maximum is 30%, in 5% increments. The program is
available only to full time, annual salaried employees. Program guidelines
for the Voluntary Reduction in Work Schedule Program have been issued by the
Governor’s Office of Employee Relations. Questions about the VRWS Program

| Agency Actions |
To report a VRWS, agencies must submit a Job Action
Request using an action of Data Change and Reason of Voluntary Reduction
(DATA CHG/VLR) in the Job Action Request #1 panel. In Job Action Request #2
panel, change the Full/Part-Time indicator to "Voluntary" and
change the Part Time Percent to the appropriate percentage for the employee’s
work schedule.
To change an employee’s work percentage or return them to a full work schedule, use one of the following procedures. 1.If there is no later effective dated row on the employee’s Job Data panel, insert a row on the Job Data panel as follows:
