|
|
||||
| Subject | Changes to the General Deduction Table |
| Purpose | To explain an automatic update on the general deduction panels and a new error message (Invalid Calculation Routine For This Deduction Code). |
| Affected Employees | All employees with active deductions who have the wrong calculation routine on the general deduction table |
| Effective Date |
November 18, 2000 |
| OSC
Actions
|
OSC will automatically insert a row with the correct calculation routine for all employees who currently have an active general deduction code with the wrong calculation routine. A new edit has been established so the correct calculation routine must be selected before a transaction can be saved on the general deduction panel. (Note all the calculation routines will still appear in the drop down box). |
| Agency Actions |
When adding or changing an existing
deduction code for an employee, the agency must choose the correct
calculation routine. If the wrong calculation routine is chosen for a given
deduction code, the message Invalid Calculation Routine For This Deduction
Code will appear.
Also, when flat amount is entered as the calculation routine for a deduction, the agency must enter the correct amount to be taken in the flat/addl amount field. There is no edit on the dollar amount entered by the agency when the calculation routine is Flat Amount. |
