Purpose

To explain the conversion of deduction code 727 from a general deduction to direct deposit.

Affected Employees

Employees in the New York State Employees Federal Credit Union (FCU) who are currently having a general deduction taken for deduction code 727.

Effective Date

Advice statements printed for March 14, 2001.

OSC Actions

OSC will convert all employee records from a general deduction to direct deposit for deduction code 727. This will be done by inserting a row into the employee general deduction panel and end dating code 727. A row will also be inserted on the employee direct deposit panel with the account information supplied by the New York State Employees FCU.

Agency Action

Agencies will no longer be able to access transactions for deduction code 727 through the general deduction panels. Now, agencies must access all transactions for the New York State Employees FCU through the direct deposit panel.
