Purpose

To notify agencies of changes to the Master File and to provide the Master File layout.

Affected Employees

Payroll and systems staff in agencies that use the PaySR Master File.

Paychecks dated June 14, 2001 for Institutional Payroll

Paychecks dated June 20, 2001 for Administrative Payroll

New Fields Added

New fields have been added to the Master File to replace 'Filler' fields. There has been no change to the size of the file. PR50 information will only be shown if the employee is being paid from an underfilled (PR50) position.

New Field Names:

PR50 Jobcode, 6 characters, Field Begin 4544, End 4549 updated from JOBCODE_TBL. JOBCODE.

Position End Date, 8 characters, Field Begin 4550, End 4557 updated from Position_Data. NY_POS_EXP_DT.

Budget Year, 4 characters. There are eight occurrences:

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 1, Field Begin 4558, End 4561.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 2, Field Begin 4562, End 4565.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 3, Field Begin 4566, End 4569.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 4, Field Begin 4570, End 4573.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 5, Field Begin 4574, End 4577.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 6, Field Begin 4578, End 4581.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 7, Field Begin 4582, End 4585.

Earnings Acct Cd Bud Year 8, Field Begin 4586, End 4589.

Updated from DEPT_BUDGET_ERN. BUDGET_YEAR.

Field Changes

Field names have been changed on existing fields. The length of these fields has not changed.

Field Changes:

  1. Service Date, Field Begin 601, End 608 changed to Anniversary Date and is updated from JOB. NY_ANNIVERSARY_DT.
  2. Paygroup, Field Begin 4055, End 4057 changed to Equated To Grade and is updated from POSITION_DATA. NY_EQUATED_GRADE.
  3. Shift, Field 4070 changed to OT Indicator and is updated from POSITION_DATA. NY_OT_ELIG_IND.
  4. PR50 Paygroup, Field Begin 4160, End 4162 changed to Filler.
  5. PR50 Standard Hours Default, Field Begin 4164, End 4167. Type is Number and Length 2V2.
  6. PR50 Shift, Field 4175 changed to Filler.
  7. PR50 FTE, Field Begin 4179, End 4181. Type is Number and Length 1V2.
  8. PR50 NY Approved Sal RT, Field Begin 4209, End 4226. Type is Number and Length 12V6.
  9. PR50 NY Addtl Comp, Field Begin 4230, End 4247. Type is Number and Length 12V6.
