Purpose

To explain an automated update to the Bank ID (transit number) as a result of the merger of Charter One Bank with Citizens Bank.

Affected Employees

Employees who have an active Direct Deposit record with the Charter One Bank ID of 222371054 or 221370030.

Effective Date(s)

Institution checks dated June 23, 2005 and Administrative checks dated June 29, 2005.

Agency Actions

Notify affected employees.

OSC Actions

OSC will insert a new row with an effective date of 06/09/05 on the Direct Deposit page for employees who have an active Direct Deposit record with a Bank ID of 222371054 or 221370030 (Charter One). The new Bank ID (transit number) is 021313103 (Citizens Bank) and will be displayed on the Direct Deposit advice statement.

Note: There are no changes to account numbers; only the Bank ID is being updated.
