Purpose

To explain the conversion of Deduction Code 738 (Sing Sing Employees Federal Credit Union) from a General Deduction to Direct Deposit.

Affected Employees

Employees who currently have Deduction Code 738 on the General Deduction page

OSC Actions

At the request of Sing Sing Employees Federal Credit Union, OSC has converted all employee records with General Deduction Code 738 to direct deposit. The amount authorized by the employee to be taken through Deduction Code 738 now will be direct deposited into the employee’s Sing Sing Employees Federal Credit Union account. If the employee currently has a direct deposit, the next available priority number has been assigned to the Sing Sing Employees FCU direct deposit. Deduction Code 738 will be deactivated after the conversion to direct deposit takes place.

Agency Actions

• Agencies must access all transactions for Sing Sing Employees Federal Credit Union through the Direct Deposit page. Agencies no longer will have access to update Deduction Code 738 through the General Deduction page.
• Notify affected employees that any changes to future direct deposits will require the completion of a new Direct Deposit Form (AC 2772) for New York State Employees.
