|Purpose||To explain the procedures for processing 1999 Uniform Allowance and Judicial Training Bonus|
Allowance - Employees in Bargaining Unit SY, SR, DR F8, 87,G9 or 86
Training Bonus - Employees in Bargaining Unit S9
Checks dated December 22, 1999
OSC automatic processing will be completed on November 30, 1999
OSC will automatically apply the $500
Uniform Allowance payment (UA5) to active employees in bargaining units SY
and SR who were active on the payroll November 25, 1999. Payment will be
included in the employee’s regular paycheck.
OSC will automatically apply the $850 Judicial Training Bonus (JTB) to full-time active employees in bargaining unit S9 who were active on the payroll November 25, 1999. This payment will be issued as a separate check. There will be no direct deposit for this payment. The ‘99 training bonus will be included in the overtime rate.
|Agency Payment Processing Instructions||
To Delete UA5 Payment
For employees in bargaining unit SY or SR who are not due the automatic uniform allowance payment, the agency must delete the earnings code UA5 from the Time Entry Panel in period 18L.
To Submit UA5 Payment
To pay uniform allowance to eligible employees in bargaining units DR, F8, 87, G9 and 86, the agency must enter the earnings code UA5 in the Time Entry Panel. See attachment for rates.
To Delete JTB Payment
If an employee is ineligible for the automatic training bonus, the agency must request a Data Change/Correct History on the Job Action Request Panel and enter in the Status Reason block "Delete JTB from Additional Pay Panel."
To Submit JTB Payment
To submit a training bonus after period 18L, the agency must enter the following in the Additional Pay Panel:
|Payroll Register and Employee’s Paycheck or Advice||The earn code UA5 or JTB and the amount paid will be displayed on the payroll register and the employee’s check or advice.|
