Purpose |
To explain Agency procedures for processing payment of the
Nurses' Health Specialty Differential.

Background |
The annual payment of the Nurses' Health Specialty Differential is made
in accordance with the 2000 - 2002 agreement with the New York State Nurses
Association and the City University of New York.

Eligible Employees |
All Staff Nurses (annual and hourly) and Nurse Practitioners who meet
the eligibility criteria contained in the memorandum dated January 7,
2004 from Carmelo Batista, Jr. are eligible for the following Health Specialty
Differentials:
- Full time staff active on 12/15/03 receive $625.00.
- Hourly staff who work 950 or more hours during the calendar year
of January 1 through December 31, 2003 receive $350.00.
- Hourly staff who work less than 950 hours during the calendar year
of January 1 through December 31, 2003 receive $175.00.

Agency Actions |
Agencies must submit the payment for the Nurses' Health Specialty
Differential in the Time Entry Page using the Earn Code HSD.
