Purpose

To explain procedures for processing the December 2005 Uniform Allowance Payment.

Affected Employees

City University of New York employees in the following titles:

Campus Security Assistant
Campus Security Officer
Campus Peace Officer
Campus Public Safety Sergeant
Staff Nurse
Nurse Practitioner

Effective Date(s)

Paychecks dated December 22, 2005.

The Uniform Allowance Payment is authorized pursuant to a City University of New York memorandum dated October 17, 2005.

Refer to the attachment for eligibility requirements and payment amounts.

Uniform Allowance Payments should be submitted on the Time Entry page as follows:

Earnings Begin Date:	12/08/05
Earnings End Date:	12/08/05
Earn Code:	UA6
Amount:	Amount to be paid

The Earn Code UA6 and the payment amount will be displayed on the payroll register. The earnings description “Uniform Allowance CUNY” and the amount will appear on the paycheck stub or direct deposit advice.
