| Subject | Special Hire Deduction Code 299 for the Police Benevolent Association (PBA) of the New York State Troopers, Inc. |
| Purpose | To explain the use of a new deduction code 299 for payments to the PBA from Special Hire employees. |
| Affected Employees |
Special hires in Bargaining Unit 07 who
are retirees and members of the Police Benevolent Association (PBA) will
have a deduction code of 299 and a biweekly deduction of $16.36. Note: Special hires in Bargaining Unit 07 who are retirees and are not members of the PBA will have a deduction code of 263 and a biweekly deduction of $17.28. |

Special hires who are retirees and
members of the PBA Agency must access the Gen Deduction (Agency) Panel using Deduction Code 299 as the union code and $16.36 as the fee. |
