2004 State Police Holiday Bonus Pay |

Purpose |
To provide the agency with procedures for processing the
payment. |

Affected Employees |
Employees represented by the NYS Police Investigators Association
(Bargaining Unit 62) who meet the eligibility criteria. |

Effective Date(s) |
Payment will be made in a separate check dated December
1, 2004. |

Background |
Chapter 9 of the Laws of 2000 authorizes continuance of this payment
in accordance with Section 216c of the Executive Law. |

Payment Amount and Eligibility Criteria |
The Holiday Bonus Pay shall be four days of pay for employees in Bargaining Unit 62 who are in Active or Paid Leave status on November 3, 2004. Eligible employees on an approved Leave Without Pay on the eligibility date are entitled to the payment provided the employee returns to the payroll within one year of the eligibility date. Employees on Military Stipend as a result of the September 11, 2001
events may receive this payment immediately. |

Miscellaneous Payment Information |
The Holiday Bonus Pay is pensionable and is not included in the calculation of overtime. If there an additional tax amount in the employee’s record, the additional tax will be deducted from both the regular paycheck and the separate check for the Holiday Bonus Pay. There will be no Direct Deposit for this payment. |

Payroll Register and Employee Paycheck |
The Earn Code HBO and the amount will be displayed on the payroll register. The earnings description “Holiday Bonus” and the amount
will be displayed on the employee’s pay stub. |
