Internal Controls Over Financial Operations

The United Nations Development Corporation (UNDC) constructed and owns office buildings that are used by the United Nations. We examined the adequacy of UNDC’s system of internal controls over its major financial operations. We found these controls to be adequate in most areas, but noted that improvements were needed in the areas of financial reporting, cash receipts and disbursements, and internal control management.
