Internal Controls Over Financial Operations

The Archives Partnership Trust was created in 1992 to preserve and make accessible the archives from New York’s colonial and State governments. The Trust is funded by annual State appropriations, public donations, and an endowment that was valued at $2.7 million at the time of our audit. We examined the Trust’s internal controls over its financial operations and found that they were generally adequate. However, improvements were needed in the controls over Trust investments, contract award practices and equipment inventories.
