“Nearly $3 billion in unclaimed funds are waiting to be returned to New Yorkers who reside in areas devastated by Superstorm Sandy. I would like to return the money to the rightful owners,” New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli said. “In these difficult times we are seeing more than ever that every single dollar counts. I encourage New Yorkers who have been impacted by the recent storm to initiate the simple process of retrieving their unclaimed funds as they continue to rebuild.”
