Purpose of Review

The purpose of our review was to assess the District’s progress, as of August 1, 2013, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in July 2007.

Background

The Red Hook School District is located in Dutchess and Columbia counties. The District is governed by the Board of Education which comprises five elected members. Expenditures exceeded $46 million for the 2011-12 fiscal year.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the District has made substantial progress in addressing our recommendations. Of the 13 audit recommendations, seven recommendations were implemented, three recommendations were partially implemented and three recommendations were not implemented.
