"Managing New York's New Fiscal Reality"
The New York State Office of the State Comptroller (OSC), in partnership with Hofstra University’s Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies and the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University®, sponsored the 2012 OSC Local Government Leadership Institute. The Institute took place at Hofstra University for a one-day conference on June 14, 2012, involving local government officials from Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties.
Robert B. Ward, Deputy Comptroller, Division of Budget & Policy Analysis provided the keynote address. Mr. Ward is an expert on state fiscal policy and has studied and written about New York State government for more than 25 years. Most recently he served as the deputy director and director of fiscal studies for the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government at the University at Albany.
