2009 Institute in Partnership with Hofstra University:
"Beyond the Fiscal Crisis: How to Build Partnerships and Leverage Opportunities"
The New York State Office of the State Comptroller (OSC), in partnership with Hofstra University’s Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies and the National Center for Suburban Studies at Hofstra University, sponsored the OSC Local Government Leadership Institute. The Institute commenced at Hofstra University for a one-day conference on June 11, 2009, involving elected officials located on Long Island.
The Honorable Anthony Williams, former Mayor of the District of Columbia, served as the keynote speaker of this event. Mayor Williams is a dynamic speaker who brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing adverse fiscal conditions on the local level.
