Why should local officials attend OSC Training?

Local officials should attend OSC training because our courses are designed to meet the needs of NYS local government officials and employees in providing efficient and effective government services. Our training courses are developed with input from local officials throughout the state and use trainers who are experts in their fields. You will benefit by receiving the latest training in areas that help improve your understanding of municipal accounting, finance, and operations. You will also receive important guidance and information on a number of legal issues.

Can you come to my municipality to hold classes on-site?

If we can work out a mutually agreeable schedule, absolutely! We welcome the opportunity to work with you. If you would like training to be held at your municipality, please email Local Official Training for more information.

How much will it cost to attend one of your training classes?

Generally there is no fee for attending these classes. The following are exceptions:

  • Basic and Advanced Accounting Schools - Please check our Basic and Advanced School Reistration Forms for the most current information
  • Conferences sponsored by others - pay their required registraiton fees when registering directly with them

Is there a minimum number of registrants required in order to hold a training session?

Yes. However, the number of registrants required may vary depending on location and topic. Please email Local Official Training for more information.

Please Note: In the event that a course is canceled or rescheduled because of insufficient registration, inclement weather or illness, we will notify registrants of any schedule changes.
