Affordable Housing Program
The Common Retirement Fund (Fund) invests in new and revitalized housing for moderate- and low-income families through the Community Preservation Corporation (CPC). The program also supports housing for senior citizens and those with special needs.
- As of July 2014, the Fund has purchased 440 mortgages (16,965 units) valued at $665.5 million.
- In April 2014, Comptroller DiNapoli invested $200 million for statewide CPC projects expected to finance about 3,500 units of affordable housing over the next three years.
