Office of the New York State Comptroller

Executive Order on the Office of the Inspector General

The residents of New York State and persons doing business with OSC need assurances that the Office is guided by the highest ethical standards and principles in the conduct of its business.

As part of his efforts to restore public confidence and trust in OSC, Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli established the Office of the Inspector General and empowered it to prevent, detect and deter corruption, fraud, criminal activity, conflicts of interest and abuse within OSC. The Inspector General is charged with the responsibility of vigorously investigating and pursuing such allegations of misconduct.
