Comptroller DiNapoli Releases November Cash Report
State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli released the 2007-08 November Cash Report today. The November Cash Report illustrates higher than anticipated spending in the General Fund, but lower than anticipated on an All Funds basis. Tax collections in the General Fund are generally down from last year at this time, as well as below Financial Plan projections through November (consumption taxes are up from last year and above the Financial Plan). As a result of higher than anticipated spending and lower than anticipated revenues, the General Fund closing balance is $469 million lower than projected at the end of November.
