Statement From Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli
on Tier V Legislation
Tier V will save taxpayers money. This will help address the state’s long-term fiscal challenges. My office is determining both the long and short-term cost-savings this legislation will have for the state and its municipalities including what the impact Tier V will have on employer contribution rates.
