CRF October Transactions Total $343 Million
The $132.8 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund (Fund) in October closed eight transactions worth approximately $343 million, according to a report State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli released today.
The Fund closed a $12.5 million transaction in its private equity portfolio, three transactions worth an estimated $5.35 million in its real estate portfolio, and four transactions in its absolute return strategies portfolio worth $325 million. The Fund also closed one of its large cap public equities accounts.
DiNapoli publishes monthly transaction reports that detail the nature, size, and parties of Fund investments. This effort is part of DiNapoli's ongoing commitment to increasing transparency and openness in the operations of the pension fund. Monthly reports dating back to February 2007 are also available online.
