The Office of the State Comptroller has retained the services of Korn/Ferry International to conduct a nationwide search for the Chief Investment Officer of the New York State Common Retirement Fund, New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced today.

In October, the Comptroller's office issued an Invitation for Bid for a professional search firm. After reviewing proposals, Korn/Ferry was deemed the most experienced and awarded the contract. The company will be responsible for identifying a pool of qualified candidates for review by a search committee.
The Common Retirement Fund is the third largest public pension plan in the United States. It holds assets in trust for more than one million employees and retirees from state and local governments as well as public authorities. Comptroller DiNapoli is the trustee of the Fund.
