DiNapoli's Office Starts Remaining School Audits
to Meet March 2010 Deadline
New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced his office is on target to meet the state-mandated deadline of March 31, 2010 to complete audits of all school districts and Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) across the state. DiNapoli’s office initiated audits of the remaining school districts and BOCES in April. These school districts and BOCES are:

School District Accountability
In order to improve accountability of the state’s schools, DiNapoli’s office will audit all of New York’s 800 school districts and BOCES by 2010. The State Comptroller’s office has completed 595 school audits and approximately 170 audits are currently underway.
