Comptroller DiNapoli Releases School Audits
New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced his office completed the audits of the Greater Amsterdam School District and the Enlarged City School District of Troy.
“My office’s audits of school districts and BOCES help schools improve their financial management practices,” DiNapoli said. “These audits are tools for schools to make sure proper policies and procedures are in place to protect taxpayer dollars and provide students with the best possible education.”
Greater Amsterdam School District – Budget Review (Montgomery County)
Based on the results of our review, we found that the significant revenue and expenditure projections in the proposed budget are reasonable. The District's proposed budget includes a tax levy that is under the statutory limit by $212,173.
Enlarged City School District of Troy – Budget Review (Rensselaer County)
Based on the results of a review, auditors found the significant revenue and expenditure estimates in the proposed budget to be reasonable. The district’s proposed budget complies with the property tax law.
