DiNapoli's Office Completes Audit of the Hancock Central School District
New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today announced his office completed the audit: Hancock Central School District – Internal Controls Over Payroll.
“As Comptroller, I’m committed to using the audit process to make sure state and local governments run as efficiently as possible,” DiNapoli said. “These audits are tools governments should use to better protect taxpayer dollars. The Hancock Central School District established effective controls over its payroll processing and should be commended for protecting district assets.”
DiNapoli’s auditors found that district officials established adequate internal controls over their payroll processing and that these controls were working effectively. Auditors from DiNapoli’s office also noted that there were no significant deficiencies in the payroll records that were examined.
