DiNapoli: 2,421 New State Contracts in August

The state entered into 2,421 new contracts in August 2008, totaling approximately $613 million, according to State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. Details regarding these contracts can be found in Open Book New York.

The largest contracts approved in August include (for specific questions on these contracts, contact the state agency directly):
- $30,253,000 contract between the Department of Transportation and ECCO III Enterprises, Inc. for a construction project in Rockland County.
- $22,203,388 grant between the Department of Health and Bellevue Women’s Medical Center, Inc.
- $17,866,000 contract between SUNY Upstate Medical University and Medquist Transcriptions LTD for medical transcription services.
- $17,182,200 contract between the Department of Transportation and Wellsbach Electric Corporation for an intelligent transportation system and lighting along theWantagh State Parkway.
