DiNapoli Hosts Global Investor Forum on Climate Change
Investors, Corporate Leaders Release Policy Statement at Noon Press Conference
Leading global investors and policy makers representing trillions of dollars will meet at an international forum on climate change today from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt New York hotel. At noon, participants will hold a press conference to issue a major policy statement designed to stimulate investment in a global low-carbon economy. Forum participants will also discuss the economic risks and opportunities associated with the ongoing debate on climate change legislation in Congress.
Speakers at the press conference include: Thomas P. DiNapoli, New York State Comptroller; Lord Nicholas Stern, chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change at the London School of Economics and special advisor to the Group Chairman of HSBC on Economic Development and Climate Change; Rob Lake, APG Investments and IIGCC; Nathan Fabian, CEO of Investor Group on Climate Change Australia/New Zealand; and Eric B. Svenson, vice president of Environment, Health and Safety at PSEG Services Corporation.
