Comptroller DiNapoli's Office to Train Local Officials on Property Tax Cap ImplementationSessions Statewide September 27 to October 7State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced his office will assist local officials in implementing the new Property Tax Cap law in a series of training sessions across the state from September 27 to October 7. “My office is committed to providing localities with quality training to ensure they are equipped to implement the new Property Tax Cap law,” DiNapoli said. “Local officials have lots of questions on this new law and this is another way we can get them the answers they need to formulate their budgets.” Each session will provide an overview of the Property Tax Cap legislation and the Comptroller’s statutory role, as well as the online form that local governments will use to report the components of their tax cap calculation to the Comptroller’s Office. The training sessions will be held as follows:
