Minimum Browser Requirements
Web pages and Web-based applications hosted by the New York State and Local Retirement System have a minimum set of requirements to ensure our website provides the best experience for our visitors.
Supported Web Browsers
Note: While we support most Internet browsers for the majority of our content, some of our Web-based applications only function properly in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or later.
Note to Internet Explorer 7.0 users: If you have difficulty browsing to an external website from a link we have provided, please refresh the page and try the link again.
Adobe Flash Plug-in
We support Adobe Flash 10.0 or later
- If you do not already have Adobe Flash, you can download a free copy directly from Adobe.
Adobe Reader
We support Adobe Reader 8.0 or later
- If you do not already have Adobe Reader, you can download a free copy directly from Adobe.
Mobile Devices
While our site is compatible with most Web browsers and should display properly on a variety of devices, at this time we do not specifically support mobile devices.
Video
All of our video content is available as Flash Video. Adobe Flash Plug-in is required to view video on the Retirement System’s website.
Audio
All audio files are formatted as MP3 files and can be played in a variety of applications, such as iTunes or Windows Media Player.
Additional Information
Some Web pages and Web-based applications hosted by the Office of the State Comptroller require the Web browser to support Javascript and to accept session–based cookies. By default, the major Web browsers are configured to handle this requirement.
