Retirement Online Toolkit

Earlier this year, NYSLRS launched a new self-service tool, Retirement Online, that provides a convenient and secure way for your employees to conduct business with the Retirement System. We encourage you to help spread the word by including Retirement Online in your regular communications with your employees. To help you, we’ve created a toolkit with a variety of materials that are ready to use.

Heads Up

The deadline for members to file a notice with NYSLRS regarding their participation in the World Trade Center rescue, recovery or cleanup efforts is September 11, 2018 (Chapter 326, Laws of 2016). If you have employees who participated, and meet eligibility requirements, please encourage them to file a World Trade Center Notice (RS6047-N). Filing this notice will protect their rights and the rights of their beneficiaries to apply for benefits in the future.

You Should Know

Non-State employers of elected and appointed officials are required to submit their Standard Work Day & Reporting Resolutions and Affidavits of Posting to NYSLRS. The Elected and Appointed Officials Reporting (EAOR) program lets you submit this information online. If you haven’t already signed up, take a few minutes to learn about the program.
