About Retirement Online
Retirement Online is part of the Office of the State Comptroller’s (OSC) Online Services family. Retirement Online is a secure area on our website where enrolled users can access their retirement information.
Members can check their outstanding loan and past service cost balances, contribution balance, beneficiary designations, estimated service credit and other important membership information.
Pensioners can check the deductions to their latest monthly payment, year-to-date payment totals, and other important retirement information.
To enroll, you must be a member or pensioner of the New York State and Local Retirement System or a beneficiary receiving a benefit. You will be required to give your Social Security Number and birth date-which we will verify against our records-as well as your email address. You will be able to create your own user ID and we will mail a password to you at the address we have on file, via the US Postal Service. You will use this password and the user ID you created the first time you login.
To login, you must enter a user ID and password. When you login the first time, enter the user ID you created and the password we mailed you. You will be prompted to change that password to one of your choice, which you will use, along with your user ID, for all your future logins. Because you will need to enter these each time you login, please remember your user ID and password, or keep them in a safe place where you can easily get to them.
Site Security: Retirement Online runs under standard Internet technology called Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which means the entire site is a secure connection. The information you enter is encrypted so it cannot be viewed by anyone on the Web, including you. Since you will not be able to view your Social Security Number as you enter it, it is important that you enter it carefully. If any of the information you enter-including your Social Security Number-is incorrect or does not match the information in our files, you will receive an error message and will not be able to log in.
