Got Tax Questions?

Our Tax Services webpage, offers several options that can help you with a variety of tax-related questions and issues. Check it out.

Sign Up for Direct Deposit

If you don’t receive your benefit payment by direct deposit, consider doing so. It’s faster and more secure than mail, and prevents delivery delays in the event of a natural disaster, such as Hurricane Sandy. To enroll, submit a Direct Deposit Enrollment Application (RS6370L-3) Adobe pdf. Your payment will be deposited into your account on the last business day of each month and, in most instances, is available immediately.

Keep Your Address Updated

It’s important to keep us informed of your current address. A current address on file ensures you’ll receive the important tax information and newsletters we send you. You can contact us regarding your address change by letter, fax or telephone. If you’re sending a letter or fax, be sure to include your name, old and new address, retirement or social security number, and signature in your correspondence.

Pension Payment Update for Recent Retirees

While we calculate your retirement benefit, you may receive advance payments. You can expect to receive four to six advance payments before your pension is finalized. Once we finalize your benefit, you will receive the full balance due, retroactive to your date of retirement.

If health insurance premiums will be deducted from your regular pension payments, please contact your health insurance provider to arrange payment until your benefit has been finalized. We do not administer health insurance benefits, and we are unable to deduct premiums from advance payments.

We appreciate your patience while we finalize your benefit.
