Hello. I’m State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. Welcome to our new and improved Vendor Responsibility website.
Contracting in New York State is a public and open process. Last year, the State spent $37 billion on goods and services. In these challenging economic times, it is more important than ever that we make sure that every dime counts.
One important initiative of the Office of the State Comptroller is ensuring that only responsible vendors are getting the State’s business. In June 2007, my office launched VendRep, a centralized, online database that is a repository for vendor responsibility information. VendRep gives users a convenient way to submit information that agencies can access to determine whether a vendor is eligible for State contracts.
Now we have redesigned the VendRep website to make it even easier to find information, get an answer to a question or locate a form. Many of the improvements to the website stem from feedback from the business community and State agencies.
We hope you find this website useful, and look forward to working with you to provide the best service possible to New Yorkers. Thank you.
