Agency Actions

To report a VRWS, agencies must submit a Job Action Request using an action of Data Change and Reason of Voluntary Reduction (DATA CHG/VLR) in the Job Action Request #1 panel. In Job Action Request #2 panel, change the Full/Part-Time indicator to "Voluntary" and change the Part Time Percent to the appropriate percentage for the employee's work schedule.

To change an employee's work percentage or return them to a full work schedule, use one of the following procedures.

  1. If there is no later effective dated row on the employee's Job Data panel, insert a row on the Job Data panel as follows:
  • To return an employee to full time, use the action of Data Change and Reason of Chg PT FT (CPF). Change Full/Part-Time indicator to Full Time and change the Part-Time PCT to 1.00.
  • To change the employee's part-time percentage in increments of 5%, use the action of Data Change and reason of CHG PCT (CPT) and change the Part-Time PCT accordingly.
  1. If there is a later effective dated row on the employee's Job Data panel, submit a Job Action Request as follows:
  • To return an employee to full time, request the Action of Data Change and Reason of CHG PT FT (CPF) effective the date of the change. Additional Data Change actions must be requested to correct all subsequent rows on the employee's Job Data record. For each row requested, change the Full/Part-Time indicator to Full Time and change the Part-Time PCT to 1.00.
  • To change the employee's Part-Time percentage, request the Action of Data Change and Reason of CHG PCT (CPT) effective the date of the change. Additional Data Change actions must be requested to correct all subsequent rows on the employee's Job Data record. For each row requested, change the Part-Time PCT accordingly.
