OSC is issuing new W-2's for any employee in your agency who received taxable expense payments or a management confidential uniform allowance payment in 1998. A listing of the employees affected in your agency has been faxed to you.

The taxable expense amount was reported in Box 12 on the W-2 in error. It should only be reported in Box 14. The uniform allowance payment was omitted from Box 14. If

W-2's have been distributed, the employees on these special listings should be notified to destroy the original W-2.

If W-2's have not yet been distributed to your employees, you should only destroy the original W-2 for those employees on the listings we faxed to you. You will receive new W-2's for these employees by the end of this week.
