Don’t wait to receive a check in the mail in this uncertain time. Sign up for our Direct Deposit Program and get your money sooner.

With Direct Deposit, your retirement benefits are deposited directly into your bank account. It is quick and safe, and in most cases, your money is available immediately; no more waiting for a check in the mail.

Enroll or Change Your Direct Deposit

Complete your Direct Deposit Application (RS6370) and return it to us. Be sure to attach a voided check or have a bank representative complete section three of the form.

Or, have the bank fax the following information on their letterhead:

  • Your name;
  • Retirement or registration number;
  • Old and new routing and account numbers; and
  • A bank representative’s signature.

Note: Please wait for confirmation of your direct deposit change before closing an old bank account to avoid a delay in your payment.

Getting Payments

Once you complete the enrollment process, we’ll electronically transfer your retirement benefit to your checking or savings account on the last business day of each month. See the Pension Payment Calendar for a schedule of direct deposit dates.

If you need to cancel direct deposit, mail or fax a letter requesting to cancel direct deposit and have a check mailed to you instead. Include your name, retirement number, address and signature.
