Update to Garnishment Notification Reports

Purpose:

The purpose of this bulletin is to advise agencies of the combining of the Garnishment Notification Reports (NBEN744, NBEN745 and NBEN746) into one report NBEN744.

Affected Employees:

Employees who appear on the NBEN744 are affected.

Background:

To simplify agency access and review of new and amended garnishments, OSC has combined the NBEN744, NBEN745 and NBEN746 into one Control-D report, NBEN744. The new version of the NBEN744 report has been renamed: Employee Report of Child Support, Bankruptcy, Creditor Garnishments and Federal Levies and will list employees who have a new or amended Child Support or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy order, a new Creditor Garnishment (ex. State Tax Levy, Student Loan), or a new Federal Levy order placed against their wages.

Effective Dates:

Effective as of 02/24/2022.

Agency Actions:

Agencies should continue to notify employees of new or amended garnishments per the agency responsibilities provided in Payroll Bulletin 331.
