Purpose:
The purpose of this bulletin is to notify agencies of an automatic dues increase and a one-time adjustment to recoup retroactive dues for employees represented by Council 82 in Bargaining Unit 61.
Affected Employees:
Members of Council 82 that are currently in or were previously in Bargaining Units 61 from years 2016 through 2022, with union dues withheld (Code 202) are affected.
Background:
Per guidance in the request from Council 82 dated, October 5,2022 membership dues for employees in Bargaining Units 61 (Code 202) will increase from $35.97 to $40.47 for full-time employees and from $19.70 to $21.95 for hourly employees.
This is a retroactive dues increase per pay period each year from 2016-2022 for full-time employees in Bargaining Unit 61 as follows:

Effective Dates:
Effective for payroll checks dated November 9, 2022 (Administrative) and November 17, 2022 (Institution).
OSC Actions:
At the request of the New York State Law Enforcement Officers Union, Council 82, OSC will automatically increase the biweekly deduction for dues code 202, in Bargaining Unit 61.
In addition, OSC will process an electronic input file from Council 82 to deduct a one-time adjustment to recoup retroactive dues for paychecks dated 11/09/2022 (Administrative Payroll) and 11/17/2022 (Institution Payroll) for the affected employees.
