Background Information
New York State Payroll Users Group, has designed new generic queries and added them to the public query section of PS Query. Generic public queries make it easier for PS Query users to retrieve information needed for frequently used reports or data requests.
The new queries, described in the attached listing, are grouped into these five categories:
- General Interest
- Archived Data
- "Difference" Qeries
- Duplicate Overtime Payments
- Position Management
Agency Actions
Payroll officers should distribute this bulletin to users with PS Query access. Users can run these queries to obtain the results described in the attachment. If it is necessary to modify a query, it should be saved as a private version before making any changes. Instructions on how to save a public query as a private version are included in the attachment.
