Changing a Mail Drop ID

PayServ Manual

Purpose

Agencies use this procedure to update the Mail Drop ID field. The Mail Drop ID is used to sort paychecks and advices for distribution.

Helpful Hints

  • Employment Data is accessed through a hyperlink on the Job Data component.
  • The Mail Drop ID is not effective dated; the value of the field at the time of Payroll confirmation is used to determine the sort.
  • If the Mail Drop ID field is left blank, the Payroll System will sort checks and advices in alphabetical order.

Changing a Mail Drop ID

Navigation Path

Main Menu > Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data

Steps

  1. Enter the employee’s EMPLID.
  2. Click the Search button.
  3. Click the Employment Data link.
  4. Enter the desired information into the Mail Drop ID field.
  5. Click the Save button.
  6. Click the Job Data link to return to the Job Data page if necessary.
  7. Click the Return to Search button or click the Job Data link to return to the Job Data page if necessary.

Result

The Mail Drop ID has been updated.
