Purpose of Audit

The purpose of our review was to assess the Town of Seneca Falls (Town) progress, as of July 2022, in implementing our recommendations in the audit report released in September 2019. 

Background

The Town is located in Seneca County and has a population of approximately 9,000. The Town is governed by an elected Town Board composed of a Supervisor and four Board members. Budgeted appropriations for 2018 totaled approximately $11.8 million.

Results of Review

Based on our limited procedures, it appears that the Department has made progress implementing corrective action. Of the five audit recommendations, three recommendations were fully implemented and two recommendations were partially implemented.
