Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform agencies of the new naming convention associated with the Locked Queries, and the updated and new locked queries available for agency use in PS_Query.
Background
OSC provides Locked Queries in PS_Query based on agency requests to assist them with their job duties.
Effective Dates
This is effective immediately.
OSC Actions
OSC updated the current Locked Generic Query document and has made it available on the PS_Query Bulletin Board. Locked queries are now in a folder named LOCKED. Locked Queries have been categorized so like queries are grouped together, making it easier to search for queries in a particular payroll area. Please note queries no longer have an identifying number.
Locked Queries were renamed using the following naming convention: LQ_YYY _ZZZZ where YYY refers to the categorical code of the query and ZZZZ refers to a short description of the query. For example: LQ_DDP_Audit_DD_Entries. See table below for categories and respective codes.
Locked queries with the older naming convention will be deleted on 07/30/2020.
OSC will bring forward all Locked Queries that are in PS Query at Go Live of the PayServ 9.2 Upgrade.

Agency Actions
Agencies must review and become familiarized with the updated and new queries. If there are any issues with the queries inform your Query Liaison.
For easier agency access, the locked queries are now in a folder named LOCKED. Using the Advanced Search type the word LOCKED in the box next to the “Folder Name begins with” and click the Search button. All Public queries in the LOCKED folder will appear.
To avoid confusion, we suggest not naming or saving any query beginning with LQ_ or place any query in the LOCKED folder. When performing a Save As, remove the word LOCKED from the folder field and the LQ_YYY (where YYY refers to the categorical code of the query) from the beginning of the query name. Do not use the folder named LOCKED or LQ for your queries.
A suggestion to quickly find queries used by your agency, replace the word LOCKED with your agency code in the folder section.
Agencies should continue renaming queries per Payroll Bulletin PIP-003.1 for the 9.2 Upgrade. Agencies do not need to rename any Locked queries as they will all be brought forward to the new 9.2 environment.
Questions
Questions regarding the locked queries may be directed to the Query Help mailbox. Please use the word LOCKED in the subject line of the email.
